Every time I'm out with my dog and we meet other dogs, I notice something:
After the encounter with the strange dog, my dog shakes himself vigorously from front to back.
In the truest sense of the word, he shakes off all tension and stress from the previous dog encounter.
This way of dealing with stress has now even found its way into the therapeutic field and trauma processing, where it is known as "neurogenic tremors", TRE (Trauma Releasing Excercises) or FSR (Fascia Stress Release).
So why not just shake off all the stress?
You can do the exercise at home or on your next walk in the woods.
Just stand upright and shake your hands, arms, legs and your whole body properly! Do it intuitively and in a way that feels good for you.
You should always consider your possibilities. If it hurts somewhere, then you should adjust the exercise accordingly or not do it at all. If in doubt, ask your doctor beforehand.
And of course, you shouldn't try to work through and resolve traumas on your own with the exercise. Such things always belong in the hands of an experienced therapist.
Otherwise, however, the following applies:
Just shake off your stress and tension as often as possible!
