Do you know the movie Avatar – Departure for Pandora by James Cameron? Probably yes, because it's not without reason that Avatar was an absolute box office hit in the cinemas at the time.
Avatar is one of my absolute favorite films, as it shows like hardly any other film what a harmonious relationship between humans and nature can look like – and also what the absolute opposite of it looks like.
In the film, there is a wonderful scene in which the two main protagonists Jake Sully and the Na'vi Neytiri walk through a magical forest on Pandora.
With every step the two take, the forest floor lights up at the point where the feet touch the ground.
This inspired me to do the "Walk with Peace" exercise.
It's actually quite simple and goes like this:
The next time you're out in the woods, imagine yourself connecting with the earth and with the nature around you through your feet at every step.
You may also imagine roots from your feet reaching down into the earth with every step.
In addition, you can imagine how with every step you take, the forest floor below you lights up with a magical light that symbolizes your connection to the earth and nature - just like in the movie Avatar.
The exercise may seem very simple, but if you practice it regularly over a longer period of time, it can effectively dissolve feelings of stress and noticeably deepen your connection to the earth and nature.
So, let's go to Pandora 😀!
